About your new role
In this dynamic leadership role, you will develop high-level Ministerial briefings, Executive briefings, and Cabinet submissions on major government investments in heavy industry decarbonisation, modernisation, and national industrial capability. You will translate complex economic and financial concepts into clear, actionable advice to help non-technical executives and ministers navigate global market shocks and achieve national economic resilience goals. Leading a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, you will manage risk, probity, and transparency while driving continuous business improvement.
Key Responsibilities
...Lead high-level negotiations with heavy industry stakeholders and direct the development of term sheets, legal agreements, and Financial Assistance Agreements.
Author high-impact Ministerial briefings, Executive briefs, and Cabinet submissions on strategic industrial investments and capability goals.
Translate complex commercial trends and financial analysis into executive-ready advice for decision-makers during global market shocks.
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, maintaining high standards of risk management, probity, transparency, and operational excellence.
Establish, track, and manage comprehensive project timelines, schedules, and key deliverables across complex policy and investment workflows.
What You Will Need to Exceed
Strong skills in establishing, managing, and reporting on complex project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Proven ability to build, manage, and align diverse internal and external stakeholder relationships to achieve shared outcomes.
Superior skills in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks within a fast-paced program or project environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of producing high-quality briefs, reports, and correspondence under tight deadlines.
