As the Centre Cook, you will be the heart of our kitchen. You will plan, order, and prepare a nutritious, rotating menu for all children in accordance with our health, nutrition, and food safety policies.
Key responsibilities include ensuring all meals are culturally inclusive, accommodate specific dietary requirements/allergies, and managing stock efficiently to meet budgetary guidelines.
Key Selection Criteria & Experience- Demonstrated background as a Cook or Chef preparing high-volume, nutritious meals in a timely manner.
- A sound understanding of the Food Safety Act and strict kitchen hygiene standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff, children, and families.
- Certificate in Food Handling.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check (and an International Police Check if you have resided outside of Australia for 12 months or more within the last 10 years).
- First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Completion of Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting online learning (or willingness to obtain).
