The Centre

This lovely 120-place OSHC service is located in Matraville is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Diploma-qualified OSHC Coordinator to join their well established team. This service delivers high quality before and after school programmes dedicated to providing a well rounded OSHC experience for all students, with a focus on building lifelong habits that will aid them in a bright future. The ideal Coordinator would be someone who is eager to implement these active programs and have experience managing or supporting a medium-large-scale service.

The Role

As the Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the before and after school care program. You will work closely with the school community to ensure a smooth and supportive environment for both children and staff. You will also be the Educational Leader and play a key role in guiding and mentoring a passionate team, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Before and After School Care program
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
• Supervise, lead, and support a team of educators, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture
• Oversee development, implement, and review engaging programs for children
• Liaise regularly with the school, committee, and parents to ensure ongoing communication and feedback
• Take responsibility for the business management aspects of the service
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children, staff, and families
• Ensure all documentation, reports, and records are completed accurately and in a timely manner

About You

To be successful in this position, you must have:

• Diploma in Children's Services (also open to experienced OSHC candidates working towards a Diploma)
• Prior leadership experience in OSHC
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Current Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificate
• Food Handler/Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Recent Child Protection/Safeguarding training
• Unrestricted Australian working rights and flexibility to work split shifts
• Proven ability to manage a medium-to-large service
• A passion for providing high-quality care and education for children
