your new role
This exciting new role is responsible for supporting Boss Energy’s procurement and contract management function at Honeymoon. The role provides a unique opportunity to support the business as it ramps up production at its Honeymoon operation as well as supporting future growth activities as it constructs its two satellite facilities at Gould’s Dam and Jasons Deposit. Being a part of a large, ASX-listed, growing business where your input will be essential to the business success is rare.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role provides end-to-end commercial leadership, covering everything from procurement strategy, governance, and inventory management, through to hands-on contracting and contractor oversight on site.
You will lead a team of up to six direct reports, including experienced procurement and supply chain professionals.
key responsibilities
... - Develop and lead the company's procurement strategy and plans for key spend areas such as mining services, equipment, consumables, and logistics.
- Lead the end-to-end contract lifecycle, from strategy development, tendering, and negotiation through to administration, claims, and close-out.
- Determine appropriate contract strategies based on risk profiles, operational criticality, and market conditions.
- Oversee inventory and warehouse operations, establishing a critical spares list and maintaining optimal stock levels in collaboration with maintenance and operational stakeholders.
- Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counting and stocktake programs while maintaining a clean, well-structured catalogue.
- Develop, implement, and maintain procurement and contract management standards, governance controls, and procedures.
- Partner with operational, construction, maintenance, and executive stakeholders to align procurement support with business priorities.
skills and experience
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, preferably within the resources industry or an operational mining environment.
- Tertiary qualification in business management, supply chain management, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of commercial risk, contract administration, and end-to-end procurement processes in an operational setting.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain systems, including sourcing, purchasing, warehousing, inventory management, and logistics.
- Experience using an ERP system (Pronto experience is highly ideal) to manage purchasing, warehouse, and cataloguing activities.
- Ability to operate effectively across both corporate office and site environments, taking ownership of outcomes and driving timely resolutions.
