About the Role
Working closely with the Senior Project Managers and Construction Manager, you will play a key role across the full project lifecycle. You will oversee contract documentation, manage subcontract agreements, and drive the development of essential handover documentation, including Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and compliance manuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Administration: Prepare, review, and issue subcontractor/supplier contracts, purchase orders, and variations
- Manual Development & Handover Documentation: Compile and maintain detailed project manuals (O&M manuals, fire system compliance manuals, and as-built documentation) in line with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC).
- Project Manager Support: Provide day-to-day administrative support across concurrent projects, assist with procurement comparisons, help track budgets/schedules, and coordinate project close-outs.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all project files adhere to QSE (Quality, Safety, and Environmental) systems, support internal/external audits, and verify that subcontractor documentation meets technical requirements.
About you:
- Experience: Previous background as a Contracts Administrator or Project Coordinator within commercial construction, fire protection, or building services (MEP).
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with standard Australian construction contracts (e.g., AS4000, AS4902) and NCC/fire safety compliance standards is highly regarded.
- Documentation Skills: Proven experience or strong aptitude for document control, version tracking, and compiling technical manuals/certifications.
- Software Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Attributes: High attention to detail, proactive communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple active projects.
