About the Role
Looking to transition your trade or estimating background into an indoor office environment? As a Claims Assessor, you will manage property repair claims electronically using reports, photos, and builder quotes. You will act as the technical eyes and ears on residential scopes, validating repair methodologies, auditing quote costs, and negotiating directly with suppliers and builders.
Key Responsibilities
Assess residential building damage claims using photographs, reports, and scope documentation.
Review and validate scopes of work submitted by panel repairers to ensure fair pricing and accurate methodologies.
Conduct retrospective audits on approved repair files to maintain cost integrity and identify recovery opportunities.
Negotiate directly with trade builders and specialist suppliers regarding line-item costs and scopes.
Provide accurate claim decisions aligned with standard policy coverage.
What We’re Looking For
Technical Knowledge: Background as a residential trade estimator, site supervisor, project coordinator, or builder looking to transition off the tools.
Analytical Mindset: High attention to detail with the ability to read scopes of work and spot inflated labor/material costs.
Strong Negotiation: Confident communicator able to handle constructive conversations with builders and panel suppliers.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating dual-screen software environments and internal reporting systems.
