Civil Site Supervisor | Civil Construction
Randstad has partnered with a premier, longstanding civil contractor based in Margate to secure an experienced Civil Site Supervisor. Known for their strong workplace culture and high standards of safety and workmanship, this company is expanding its team to deliver major commercial, multi-residential, and civil infrastructure projects across Southern Tasmania.
In this role, you will take full ownership of daily on-site operations. You will drive project timelines across bulk/detailed earthworks, concrete works (footings, slabs, pavements), retaining walls, carparks, and drainage solutions while maintaining a zero-harm environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all day-to-day civil site operations, driving the construction program to ensure delivery on time and within scope.
Coordinate subcontractors, trades, plant operators, and material suppliers.
Oversee site quality control, managing inspections, defect remediation, and project handovers.
Work collaboratively with Project Managers, engineers, and key stakeholders.
Enforce strict site safety, environmental, and compliance standards.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3+ years as a Site Supervisor/Manager on civil construction projects.
Technical Expertise: Trade background preferred with proven expertise in earthworks, concrete structures, paving, and site drainage.
Project Capability: Strong understanding of civil project lifecycles from inception to completion.
Leadership: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and team-management abilities with a commitment to a supportive and driven workplace culture.
