The Role
We need confident, experienced cooks who can step into a kitchen, take operational control, and manage daily service with ease.
Key Responsibilities:
Independent Kitchen Management: Run daily operations, manage workflow, prep, and clean-down with full autonomy.
Nutritious Meals: Prepare up to 3 fresh, wholesome, and appetising meals per day for young children.
Dietary & Allergen Management: Confidently navigate dietary requirements, allergen matrixes, and cultural preferences.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain top-tier hygiene, food safety standards, and accurate kitchen logs.
What You Need to Succeed
Qualifications: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) with proven experience in commercial, hospitality, or institutional kitchens.
Food Safety: Valid Safe Food Handling Certificate or Food Safety Supervisor qualification.
Child Safety: Completed Child Protection & Foundations of Child Safety Training (free online training provided upon joining).
Compliance & Availability: Valid Working with Children Check, valid Australian work rights, and availability for at least 2 shifts per week across Melbourne.
