We have exciting opportunities within Brisbane City Council Urban Cleansing as a City Malls Cleaner who can work around the Brisbane CBD and Valley. As part of the team, you will be working on various projects in Brisbane City. Staff will be required to work Day, Afternoon, and Night Rostered Shifts where required.
About your new role
Working with Public Space Operations you will undertake cleansing services and maintenance. This role will require you to be adaptable to last minute changes:
- You will be required to have good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Demonstrate basic cleaning skills through previous work history.
- Utilise tools and machinery to remove rubbish, waste, and other debris.
- This role does involve walking, you must be physically able to walk up to 12km’s a day.
- Rostered shifts with the ability to pick up extra hours/overtime.
What you will need to exceed
We are looking for an experienced cleaner who is reliable and enjoys providing high-quality work. A strong sense of teamwork a commitment to safety and ensuring all work is conducted according to safety procedures and guidelines.
- Minimum C Class licence
- Valid First Aid + CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain within first 2-3 months of role)
- Have a high attention to detail
- Proven cleaning experience.
