We are seeking a reliable, motivated team player to join our high-volume Rosehill facility as an Asphalt Plant Technician. This dynamic, varied role bridges PC batch control, UHF radio dispatching, and site machinery operation.
⚡ NO PRIOR ASPHALT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED — 100% FULLY TRAINABLE!
🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing:
- PC Loading & Batching (6 hrs/shift): Load asphalt batches and monitor plant mixing processes using custom PC software.
- UHF Radio & Logistics: Coordinate directly with transport drivers over UHF radio, manage trucks and process material dockets accurately.
- Plant Maintenance & Housekeeping: Perform routine plant maintenance, basic plant housekeeping and keep site facilities clean and safe.
- Autonomous Safety: Work safely within a team and strictly following site rules, environmental policies, and safety standards.
🎯 What We’re Looking For:
- Computer Proficiency: Comfortable navigating PC software programs and sitting at a terminal for up to 6 hours per shift.
- Strong Communicator: Clear, professional verbal communication skills for UHF radio interaction with transport drivers and on-site staff.
- Safety-Focused & Independent: High attention to detail with the ability to follow rules and work as part of a team
- Relevant Background or Interest: Open to applicants with site/machinery experience OR motivated individuals keen to start a career behind plant operations and logistics.
- Machine Tickets (Desirable): Valid tickets or experience operating Loaders, Excavators, or Skid Steers preferred (or willingness to learn).
- White Card & Flexibility: Current White Card and availability across Day, Afternoon, or Night shifts.
