Role Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and deliver strategic communication plans that align with organizational objectives and project outcomes.
- Account & Project Management: Manage multiple complex programs of work across various internal teams, prioritizing competing deadlines effectively.
- Content & Material Creation: Produce high-quality, engaging communication materials, including campaign packages, talking points, media collateral, public reports, briefing notes, web content, and social media assets.
- Leadership & Team Mentorship: Provide guidance, workflow management, and professional development support to junior members of the communications team.
- Strategic Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with senior executive leaders, providing high-level strategic communication advice and customer/stakeholder risk mitigation strategies.
- Multichannel Communications: Advise on and utilize a variety of traditional, digital, and emerging communication tools for events, consultation, evaluation, and marketing campaigns.
Key Selection Criteria
- Communication & Engagement Expertise: Substantial experience leading and executing comprehensive communication and engagement strategies within large organizations.
- Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to build and sustain collaborative, enduring relationships across all organizational levels.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong problem-solving capability with the ability to interpret complex information and convert it into high-impact communication solutions.
- Leadership Capabilities: Proven experience leading individual contributors, managing workflows, and fostering a positive team culture in a complex environment.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is highly desirable.
Requirements
- Work Rights: Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid visa permitting full working rights in Australia.
- Travel: Flexibility to undertake occasional travel away from the main office center if required.
