In partnership with a major State Government transport and infrastructure department, this role presents an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing Governance and Design unit within the North Coast Region. Working up to 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am–6pm), you will balance routine operational support with dynamic project work. You will serve as a central support partner keeping critical stakeholder, administrative, and governance systems running smoothly, all while contributing to vital infrastructure initiatives that directly benefit local communities.
About the roleYour duties will be tasks including but not limited to
Jointly managing and triaging a high-volume shared inbox for executive correspondence and enquiries, taking prompt action to progress matters.
Providing responsive administrative and operational support to keep the broader team organised, informed, and focused on key deliverables.
Developing, maintaining, and refining internal databases, reporting tools, SharePoint sites, and communication channels.
Coordinating, compiling, and preparing updates, dashboards, and reporting materials for senior stakeholders.
Supporting community engagement activities through effective material coordination and accurate stakeholder record management.
Identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement to eliminate inefficiencies and streamline team workflows.
Assisting with governance and compliance requirements to ensure precise record-keeping and procedural adherence.
Demonstrated experience managing busy, high-volume shared inboxes and delivering polished, professional communications.
Strong organisational, time-management, and prioritisation skills with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
High-level attention to detail combined with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
Experience with administrative, record-keeping, and governance frameworks, with high proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (including Teams and SharePoint).
Outstanding interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to customer service, collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.
Prior experience with process improvement initiatives or public sector frameworks is highly regarded.
