Your New Company/Role:
Are you a proactive and versatile accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment? My client is seeking an Accountant to join their established team on a permanent full time capacity based in Wetherill Park NSW 2164 . This role is a hands-on role across finance operations, systems, and process improvement. This is a unique opportunity to work on exciting internal projects within Oracle NetSuite while also supporting core finance functions.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting to a nurturing Accounts Manager; you are responsible for
- Support the final stages of Field Service Model (FSM) implementation within Oracle NetSuite
- Act as the main point of contact for FSM across departments
- Ensure accurate data entry and system usage by all FSM users
- Leverage FSM data to - Generate accurate customer invoices, Allocate expenses for machine reporting and assist with service-related costs and claims
- Dealing with machine rental projects - Coordinate weekly machine hour tracking and reporting, Liaise with both customers and the service department, Track and analyse costs, expenses, and income for rental projects and assist in FSM improvements within the service department
- Dealing with Accounts Receivable - Customer invoicing, payment allocation & account reconciliation, Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts, Manage weekly/monthly payment plans and Report overdue balances to management
- Perform Credit Card Reconciliation - perform monthly reconciliation and ensure correct cost centre allocations
- Foreign Exchange & Imports - Support FX transactions in coordination with the Finance Manager and Manage customs documentation for all incoming machines
- Dealing with Company Insurances & Contract Reviews - Oversee all business insurance policies and renewals and Review supplier contracts to secure cost savings on utilities and services
- Support Accounts Payable tasks when the person is away
- Potential to take ownership of payroll, with training support offered - this is down the track
Ideal Profile
This opportunity is for someone who has experience within a similar role as an Assistant Accountant or Accountant. You will also bring:
- Proven experience in accounting and finance operations
- Diploma or Bachelors in Accounting & Finance/equivalent qualification
- Strong system and data accuracy mindset – Oracle NetSuite experience desirable but not mandatory
- Prior experience in a similar role ( 2-3 years or more )
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Intermediate Excel proficiency
- A proactive, self-motivated approach to project work and continuous improvement
Benefits
- Permanent full time opportunity
- $80,000 - $95,000 + Super (can go slightly higher based on experience)
