Randstad has partnered with one of our clients on their search for a 2iC (second in command) for their operation in Melbourne. The team is responsible for repairing and maintaining childrens entertainment equipment across the city.
This role is based at the client's facility in West Melbourne, requiring 70% of your time on-site and 30% spent in the field diagnosing and repairing equipment.
We're looking for someone mechanically-minded however no formal quals are required.
You will be servicing rides / skill testers, maintaining equipment to standards, cleaning equipment, re-stocking skill testers, installing new equipment, rotating equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on ride equipment on-site at shopping centres.
- Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently
- Prepare new equipment for installation at various locations
- Ensure all work complies with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations
- Conduct on-site relocations of equipment and perform routine safety checks
- Respond to service calls and address maintenance issues
- Re-stocking & merchandising machines on site
Requirements:
- Mechanical or electrical experience/training (highly regarded)
- Practical, hands-on problem solver with a strong attention to detail
- Enthusiastic and personable – you enjoy working with others and take pride in your work
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality
