About the Team
The organisation’s Budget and Finance Controls Branch is responsible for the financial management of the organisation, and provides insightful financial reporting to enable strategic decision making.

Role responsibilities: EL1 Finance Business Partner
This leadership position entails managing a team and overseeing a wide array of activities with significant depth and detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning, execution, and monitoring of external budget and reporting activities.
- Oversee report preparation, develop team operating procedures and user guides for process improvements.
- Manage various financial projects, reviewing and updating budgets, actuals, and forecasts, and maintaining project WBS structure and governance.
- Conduct month-end financial reporting and analysis, ensuring consistent project coding and financial reporting at project levels.
- Provide strategic financial advice to internal and external teams, regularly engage with project/program leads to offer financial insights, and update and maintain relevant costing models.
- Contribute to project-related briefs, papers, and other internal/external requests, collaborating with enabling areas such as HR, ICT, and Strategy to facilitate project delivery.
Key Requirements
- Australian Citizenship
- Familiar with project reporting concept;
- Advanced excel skills;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Proficient in using SAP system
- Willing to obtain police check

Role responsibilities: APS6 Finance Officer
This role entails providing detailed technical, professional, policy and operational support and advice in relation to complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficient in preparing end-of-month accruals and reconciliations.
- Capable of monthly monitoring, trend analysis, and financial performance reporting.
- Experience in assisting with annual budget preparation, reviews, monitoring, and forecasts.
- Ability to provide finance advice consistent with accounting standards, legislation, and internal policies.
- Skilled in contributing to process improvement projects for efficient finance operations.
- Strong collaborative skills for issue resolution with stakeholders.
- Analytical proficiency to interpret numerical data effectively.
- Perform detailed financial analysis on budget and forecast variances.
Key Skills Required:
- Qualified Accountant
- Australian Citizenship
- Accounting experience with 3-5 years in a medium to large organisation
- Willing to obtain police check
