Randstad is working with a well known State Government organisation to recruit Enterprise Risk & Assurance Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically lead the design and oversee the Enterprise Risk Management Policy and Framework to manage risks and provide clarity
- Provide strategic, specialist advice to the Executive and Board in the area of risk governance, compliance and risk management
- Develop and implement risk strategy, identify new and emerging risks
- Ensure the Enterprise Risk Management Policy and Framework function
- is proportionate to the scale and complexity of the activities undertaken
- Ensure risk management is part of corporate planning and reporting processes
- Provide ongoing management and review of highly effective risk management tools
- Lead and innovate assurance activities associated with the effectiveness of risk controls including development of an internal audit plan
Skills required:
Completion of a postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification with extensive relevant
experience or an equivalent combination of training and high level relevant experience in an
accounting, risk management/assurance or audit related field.
- Advanced contemporary knowledge and senior management experience in the areas of risk management and financial compliance
- High level strategic thinking and decision making skills to enable the identification of key issues and relationships relevant to achieving long-range organisational goals
- Significant experience integrating organisational risk and audit activities
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of insurance programs
- Experienced in leading and managing a team of professionals to achieve organisational goals
- Experienced in working with and reporting to Audit and Risk Committee
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
- Exceptional verbal communication skills
- Must have x3 Covid vaccinations
