Your New Company/Role:
As one of the established and renowned child care and early learning industries, my client is looking for an Senior Accounts Receivable Officer to join their team based in the Headquarters - due to remarkable growth. This is a permanent full time opportunity. This role is to administer the credit control responsibilities.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to a supportive and nurturing Corporate Reporting Manager, you must have exposure within the end to end credit control function:
- Collect Fees and Deposits for all Childcare Centres by preparing and processing weekly EFT files
- Ensure QK properly reflects the collection of fees
- Prepare EFT files (payment and refunds) to be authorized by the finance team
- Ensure all families have required connections with CCMS in place for correct reporting of vacancies and campus usage to the Government
- Monitor accounts to ensure families are in receipt of any Government payments for reduction of fees
- Make weekly submissions to Centrelink and manage ISS entries
- Set up any JET or SCCB funding families have been deemed eligible for
- To monitor and review outstanding balances to ensure that no account exceeds the Security Deposit limit on file
- Where required support proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are bought to a satisfactory conclusion before the end of each week
- Provide reports to senior management regarding outstanding debtors, including where no security deposit is on file, serial debtors, etc
- Develop strong relationships with customers in relation to management of accounts receivable
- Performing refunds, manual charges, monthly statements, alongside account maintenance
- Managing a team member
- Ad-hoc administration tasks as required
Ideal Profile
To contribute their valuable knowledge and experience within the Accounting function:
- Diploma/Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 2 years (or equivalent) demonstrated related experience in similar position
- Experience in commercial or education environment
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience within end to end AR environment
- Experience in large Accounting ERP systems
- Intermediate Excel knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain ongoing effective relationships with stakeholders
