About your new role
This is an opportunity to work within one of Transport for Brisbane’s workshop team responsible for the maintenance and repair of Brisbane City Councils fleet vehicles and plant equipment. No day will be the same and you will have an ongoing opportunity to learn new skills. You will be someone who adheres to WHS practices in a workshop setting..
- Undertake repair, maintenance and servicing of vehicles & plant equipment
- Perform diagnostics and resolve mechanical problems
- preventative maintenance inc inspection, tire rotation, oil changes
- Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the workshop
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to deliver cost effect timely service
- Keeping detailed records of each job including all parts and materials
What you will need to exceed
It is essential that you have experience working as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. Preferably working within a fleet management environment maintaining a variety of heavy vehicles and plant equipment.
- Current Australian recognised Heavy Vehicle Trade Certificate
