Key Responsibilities:
- Offer guidance and utilise GIS Branch and corporate layers aligning with branch and corporate IT strategies.
- Contribute GIS information and analysis for Council reports, actively liaising with key internal departments.
- Coordinate, undertake, and manage asset data and information throughout the asset lifecycle, including asset creation and condition surveys.
- Ensure accuracy and currency of asset-related information by creating data flow processes.
- Provide technical support in developing advanced assets and service management plans.
- Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Assist in maintaining and reviewing the quality and accuracy of the Council's asset database.
- Implement measures to improve information quality and develop procedures for timely collation of accurate asset data.
- Collaborate with consulting engineers to provide professional services related to roads and drainage infrastructure asset performance and recognition information.
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to actively and successfully participate as a team member, while interacting with other officers with tact, understanding and encouragement in the performance of their duties.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written, with an ability to effectively manage key relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of development of Asset Management Plan (International Infrastructure Management Manual approach).
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of spatial information systems, specifically ESRI ArcMap, and technologies and the ability to continually update knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in this field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of asset management principles and the ability to utilise that knowledge in the development of systems and procedures for roads and drainage asset management. Knowledge relating to as constructed drawings and asset information capture and knowledge of Financial Asset Management.
