This role will be offered as a 12-Month contract, on a Monday-Friday roster with ad hoc site visits to our clients various mine sites. Position Purpose: This role would be predominantly supporting a project in development, which involves the day-to-day schedule maintenance/analysis & then planning for the Execution phase. There will be the opportunity to see these projects through to execution as the planner.
Role will include the following:
- Help project managers with project planning and scheduling support for successful delivery on various projects within our clients assets.
- Schedule maintenance/analysis & planning for the Execution phase of the projects.
- Assisting various plants and production areas with aforementioned work for progressing on projects.
- Monitor, analyse and report on project schedules and portfolio performance.
- Develop effective internal resource / manning requirements to deliver the portfolio
- Initiate trend analysis on various elements of study projects.
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Circa 5 years of experience in a planning/scheduling role within the mining industry.
- Great communication qualities, able to translate the project plan to the project leads.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6. Microsoft Office, SAP, MS Project are necessary for this role.
- Certificate or degree in relevant field.
- Experience in projects and / or portfolio delivery.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Analysing Information , planning, attention to detail, informing others.
