The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical systems, executing project engineering tasks, and ensuring top-notch quality assurance during installations across diverse construction sites. This role requires a solid grasp of electrical engineering principles tailored to construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems and schematics to suit construction endeavours.
- Oversee the procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems on site, ensuring alignment with project specifications and Australian Standards.
- Uphold quality standards during the installation of electrical systems on site.
- Verify compliance of all electrical installations with Australian local, state, and federal regulations, industry safety standards, and project specifications.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to synchronise electrical systems with overarching project objectives.
Must Possess
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (accredited by Engineers Australia if obtained overseas).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years within Australia, particularly in construction projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, with preference given to proficiency in Revit PowerCad.
- Comprehensive understanding of the latest electrical standards and safety regulations in Australia.
- Australian Citizen or Permanent resident
