Our client in the Energy sector is looking for a skilled Business Analyst with experience in supporting drawing and document management system upgrades.
This specific program includes drawing and document management and supports secondary systems’ configuration management. This will impact approximately 1,000+ internal and external stakeholders, marking a pivotal step in our journey towards realising a world-class energy future for Queenslanders.
Candidates must have experience implementing Hexagon SDx or other drawing and document management systems (Bentley, AutoDesk etc) or SaaS implementation projects within the context of Engineering/Utilities. Having an understanding of how to configure these systems and integrate the various modules is a key requirement.

Responsibilities:
- Facilitate workshops to elicit detailed requirements on processes, systems, information and People
- Map current and future state business processes
- Analyse requirements to develop user stories, use cases and scenarios
- Prepare high-quality documentation, including specifications, analysis, traceability, and testing artefacts.
- Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, program team, consultants, and vendors
- Update work instructions and process documentation for system transitions
- Support the development of a detailed plan for data migration, including data cleansing, mapping, and transformation requirements to ensure that legacy data is accurately and efficiently migrated to the new system
- Contribute by identifying potential risks associated with business processes, system requirements, and data migration
- Define role-based access matrices in conjunction with business stakeholders
- Support the Change Manager in creating communication plans, training, and engagement strategies
- Support the Training Lead with the translation of process information to training materials
- Contribute to the implementation plan, methodologies, and capability enhancement
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the system's performance against expected outcomes, including identifying areas for improvement, capturing lessons learned, and making recommendations for future enhancement
About you:
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in business analysis, preferably within the energy sector and IT projects, demonstrating a strategic mindset and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience with similar tools and systems, such as Hexagon SDx or other drawing and document management systems or SaaS implementation projects
- Demonstrated experience configuring forms and creating workflows.
- Experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, showcasing versatility in project management approaches
- Ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Pragmatic problem solving skills
- Demonstrated experience in working within complex programs with ability to structure the business analysis process
