Partner with the divisional leaders to provide advice, training and support on a broad range of ER/IR issues in a dynamic environment.

This role will see you provide advise on all elements of the Workplace Relations agenda. You will utilise your detailed understanding and experience of IR and ER matters to provide expert advice and direction to the business across a broad range of areas. Duties will include:

  • Provide advice and interpretation on the application of industrial/employment legislation, agreements, awards and directives to management and staff;
  • Provide advice and interpretation on the application of internal policies, practices and procedures to management and staff;
  • Liaise with external bodies and the Fair Work Commission to provide solutions to employee relations matters;
  • Develop and implement new HR policies, procedures and processes to facilitate effective management of the HR / ER function;
  • Assist in the research and preparation of high level human resource policies, procedures and processes.
  • Assist with ad hoc HR duties and projects and relieve the team during periods of absence.

To be considered for this role you will need substantial experience in a large service based environment. Your tertiary qualifications in HR / IR or a related field will provide you with the skills to align the industrial and employee relations portfolio with the corporate strategy. Experience in managing the resolution of ER/IR matters, using well developed problem solving and negotiation skills will ensure your success. Recent experience performing conciliations at the Fair Work Commission will be highly regarded.
