We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic professional Financial Accountant that can provide timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial information as required by management and external legislative bodies for Randstad Australia and NZ entities.

role responsibilities

* Ensure that you have a thorough knowledge of Randstad's financial and operations procedures.
* Ensure you are competent with the Software and Technology pertinent to your position, The Quality Management System, company policies and other e-commerce technology as it is rolled out.
* Prepare and process monthly general, standing and reversing journal entries and Balance Sheet reconciliations which are not part of the scope of the India SSC team.
* Assist in the review of Balance Sheet reconciliations and journal entries performed by the Shared Service Centre in India (team of 2) as well as reviewing input of Group Reporting schedules in to global reporting system.
* Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all financial accounts on a monthly basis for Randstad branches.
* Assist with the preparation and consolidation of monthly forecast and annual budget.
* Distribution of monthly financial reports as per the accounting timetable.
* Liaise with management, internal customers and reporting authorities.
* Monthly analysis of financial results to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Provide senior management with ad hoc reporting and monthly analysis of financial accounts.
* Monitoring, maintenance and assistance with implementation of internal financial controls
* Assist the Tax Manager with preparation and completion of tax returns and other tax requirements
* Assist in the audit process for Australia and New Zealand, including providing information as and when required.
* Assist with the preparation of Annual statutory financial statements in line with the applicable accounting frameworks.
* Carry out duties as may reasonably be required by the company from time to time.
* Within 24 hours of an incident, accident or injury occurring at any of Randstad Australia premises, record, follow-up and where required investigate to prevent future occurrences.

* All staff have a clear responsibility to understand and maintain the procedures as described in the Randstad Australia Quality Management System, with particular emphasis on providing assistance with internal audits and review meetings as required. The identification of system improvements should be forwarded to the Group Organisation Development Manager via the System IMP process.

* Great Plains, FRx, Cognos, Tagetik, Word, Excel (Advanced) and Gmail. Training on software will be provided
