Randstad have partnered up with The Western Australian Electoral Commission to support their recruitment needs for the March 2021 election. There are a wide range of casual roles and opportunities to work before and after the Election Day.

Processing Centre Supervisor/ Assistant Early Voting Centre Manager/ Count Table Supervisor

Support the relevant Project Leader, Team Leader, Early Vote Centre Manager with the management of their responsibilities and cover these roles as and when required; supervise the conduct of count staff and the recording of results at particular count tables at the Processing Centre.

Dates: Starting times and duration vary across functional areas; commencing from mid-February and extend through to early April 2021

Selection Requirements:

  • Good organisation, coordination and management skills/experience
  • Staff supervisory skills/experience and ability to provide clear instructions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound computer literacy and numeracy skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Physically active; capacity to accommodate flexible hours.

Early Voting Centre Managers

Responsible for the overall management of an early voting centre for the duration for early in person voting period. Includes centre set-up before polling commences, the management of all staff and resources, training, the monitoring and security of ballot paper stocks, liaising with various stakeholders (including electors and party workers) and ensuring the standard of customer service, and the final close-out, reconciliation and reporting at the end of early voting.

Dates: Commencing in mid-February through to 13th March; plus attendance at face to face training session before hand for metro and near metro engagements; includes work outside of normal business hours. Note: Employment as an Early Voting Centre Manager precludes an individual form performing the role of Polling Place Manager on election day itself.

Section Requirements:

  • Sound organisation, coordination and management skills/ experience
  • Team leadership and supervisory skills/ experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound computer literacy and numeracy skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to learn the online early voting management system
  • Physically active; capacity to accommodate flexible hours
  • Valid driver’s licence and vehicle
  • Mobile phone
  • Past electoral experience is highly desirable for this position

Vote Issue Call Centre Supervisor

Responsible for the supervision and on-going training and support to call centre staff, rostering, ballot paper security, quality control, stakeholder liaison, issues and complaints management for the duration of early voting period. Includes assistance with centre set-up before polling commences, the rostering and management of all staff and resources, staff training, the monitoring and security of ballot paper stocks, liaising with various stakeholders (including electors and party workers) and ensuring the standard of customer service, and final close-out, reconciliation and reporting at the end of early voting.

Dates: Commencing in mid- February through to 13th March; plus a training session before hand; includes work outside of normal business hours
