Casual Outside of School Hours / After hours care opportunities with Randstad Education are open now across Canberra.

These opportunities would ideally suit a parent returning to the workforce, or those who have experience babysitting, as a nanny, au pair, or volunteering with children's programs. Alternatively you may come from a teaching or education background or have experience in the OSHC space. Work close to home in neighbourhood schools with structured after school programs for primary school aged children.

We will work with you to manage your availability via our candidate portal to suit you and your lifestyle.

A typical day will include:

  • Supervising children in outdoor and indoor activities
  • Assisting other staff in engaging in programs that are both fun and educational
  • Setting up outside of school clubs and activities
  • Offering a safe and secure environment
  • Liaison with carers and families

About you:

  • Available for at least two shifts per week (available between 7am-9am and/or 2pm-6pm in the working week)
  • Have easy access to transport
  • You will be required to work at various outside school hours care services
  • You will need valid work rights for Australia

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Hold a valid Working with Vulnerable People's Check Card
  • Experience working with children as a babysitter, nanny, or in a childcare/OSHC service
