Client

My client has been heavily immersed in the hire of Diesel Generators into the APAC market for over 40 years. Starting off in QLD my client has gone from strength to strength gaining a substantial foothold Australia wide.

Through strategic business planning the company has grown to now be one of the biggest specialist hire businesses around. Due to increases in activity and workload and a strategic focus on Australia’s resources a role for a Territory Manager has arisen.

Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager on a weekly basis, your main responsibility will be to develop new opportunities as well as optimize the revenue stream from my clients existing accounts. The split is roughly 60/40 swayed towards existing business.

You will be required to be on the road 80% of your working week, requiring you to communicate with decision makers on the mine sites throughout the region, getting an understanding of activity levels and requirements current or scheduled.

Candidate

To be considered for this opportunity you must have:

  • 3/5 years minimum selling into the resources sector – Mining, O&G or CSG
  • A good understanding of diesel Generators and their application
  • Tertiary qualifications – Would be highly advantageous -
    Mechanical or electrical
  • Full/clean driving licence
  • Good understanding of OH&S
  • An understanding of market development
  • The ability to work autonomously
  • Proven success in sales through a hire business – current or old

Salary

In return you will receive a salary from $85-95,000 + FMCV or car allowance depending on personal circumstances, laptop, phone and a bonus that can see you achieve up to $20,000 within your first 12 months.
