Position Summary: They are looking for a dedicated Financial Accountant with expertise in AASB 16 compliance, to contribute to the finance team in a part--time capacity. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the implementation of AASB 16 standards, ensuring compliance in lease accounting.
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Handle long service processes, including calculations, reporting, and compliance.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Work closely with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- CPA or CA qualification is mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with AASB 16 compliance.
- Proven expertise in long service processes.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the commercial cleaning industry is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CA qualification is required.
