Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Technical Document Writer within a leading mining and resources organisation.
Based out of our clients’ modern mine site, the Technical Writer will create and update documents specifically relating to the installation of a new crusher and material handling equipment. Interviews and commencements will occur over the next few weeks.
About the role:-
The purpose for the Technical Writer role is to develop, review and formalise technical documents, including procedures, safe work instructions and processes to incorporate a new crusher and related infrastructure.
The provision of work shall include both ongoing, day-to-day operational requirements including both the material handling system operator and maintenance personnel.
The role will require regular underground visits to discuss processes with technicians & operators.
To be considered for the role you will have:-
- At least 3 years of technical writing experience in a similar mining environment
- Trade background or relevant engineering degree
- Demonstrated knowledge of underground mining and bulk materials handling equipment
- Experience in developing work instructions, procedures or technical documents
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- High level of computing and editing skills
- Previous experience with SAP & Master Data load sheets would be advantageous
This position will commence immediately is offered on an initial 3 month contract with scope for extension. Market rates are on offer to the successful candidate.
