Teachanywhere is the official provider of English language teachers from Australia and New Zealand for public-sector Secondary schools in Hong Kong, under the Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) Scheme.

NETs have been employed at state schools in Hong Kong since 1998 and there are now hundreds of teachers employed each year. The programme aims to both provide an authentic English teaching and learning environment for students, and also to share and promote innovation in teaching to meet the needs of the local students.

Requirements - Secondary Teachers

Applicants should have either:

(a) Bachelors degree & PGDE/PGCE, at least one of which majors in English/ESL

(b) Bachelors degree & PGDE/PGCE in any subject, and a TEFL qualification (preferably at Diploma level, though Certificates are also accepted)

(c) Bachelors degree in any subject plus a Masters of TEFL

PLUS

At least 1 year post graduate teaching experience of English or English as a Second or Foreign Language at Secondary level or above.

Preference is given to applicants with training and experience teaching ESL, and there is an age limit of 58 for these positions, for visa eligibility reasons.

Interviews

Suitable applicants will be required to attend an interview in person. Interviews will be taking place in Sydney during February.

Package

On offer is:

• Excellent salary ranging from HK$31,750 to $73,775 per month (A$5,600- $13,000), depending on qualifications and experience
