Your New Department:

This department works to develop the leadership and core skills capability of the APS workforce, by taking a strategic, business-oriented approach to learning and development which is grounded in research, contextualised to the APS, and delivered in partnership with internal and external colleagues.

.Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Support and guide talent management within agencies
  • Facilitate cross-agency collaboration and learning to achieve better practice talent management
  • Partner with external stakeholders to gain balance between private expertise and APS context
  • Pipeline for areas of focus required to build a truly diverse future leadership criteria
  • Research technical platforms to support the talent management agenda

The Successful Candidate:

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in the relative area
  • Experience in talent management, leadership development or workforce planning.
  • Strong liaison skills and a solutions-focussed attitude
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork and organisational skills
  • The ability to build and and maintain strong relationships across a range of stakeholders
  • Experience working with senior leadership
