At Randstad, we are looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to work for a global defence company that develops and implements solutions for Air Traffic management in defence. You will be working alongside experienced systems engineers and project managers on complex integration projects, and be a part of creating advanced products to ensure safer technology for Australian skies.
You must be an Australian Citizen, eligible for a defence security clearance.
As a Systems Engineer, your duties will include:
- Perform systems engineering activities such as requirements gathering, system design, verification and validation, and testing and evaluation of products.
- Provide systems integration expertise related to servers and IT systems.
- Create technical systems engineering documents to support various projects for the company.
- Perform complex network integration activities in a Linux standard operating environment.
- Assist with other project requirements and operational customer support as needed.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer science or related discipline.
- 3 plus years experience working with complex IT networks and servers in a project environment.
- Knowledge of systems engineering processes within defence.
- Solid understanding of technologies such as Linux, Java, Shell Scripting and Web Applications.
- Experience configuring basic software products and management of virtual/physical networks.
