We are currently recruiting a LV/MV System Engineer to work a contract role with a leading brand that prides themselves on delivering reliable power distribution system. This role will commence as a 6 month contract role based in either their North Ryde (NSW) or Bayswater (VIC) office.

Reporting to the Systems Project Leader, the system engineer will be working with the client’s engineered products and systems including: LV switchgear and switchboards, LV busway systems, MV RMU's, dry-type distribution transformers and kiosks. Realising customers technical & functional requirements having due regard to relevant standards, processes and best practice, the role will be responsible for co-ordination with and between customer's engineers, factory engineering and technical product managers, controlling requirements, design integration between technical domains, and delivery quality.

  • Surveys and investigates the requirements on the technical system, made from various aspects (customer, law, standards, technical analysis, etc.).
  • Processes the requirements: analysis, structuring and documentation in transparent form, incl. corresponding sources and stakeholders.
  • Manages the requirements and maintains the documentation (requirements management).
  • Check the requirements under formal aspects regarding completeness and unambiguousness.
  • Check the content of requirements regarding comprehensibility, consistency, cross references, dependencies and later check ability (acceptance criteria).
  • Evaluate the requirements based on broad experience regarding their feasibility or contained technical risks.
  • Support the verification of the requirement fulfilment in the execution phase in cooperation with quality management.


  • Minimum 5 years relevant proven project experience required.
  • Detailed LV engineering knowledge (Simaris, Sivacon S8, LV MCB's / MCCB's, energy metering, S7 PLC's & Modbus comms) highly regarded.
  • Detailed MV switchgear engineering knowledge is advantageous.

  • Required – Diploma in Electrical Engineering
