job description

On a daily basis your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support and maintenance to the Supported Systems in conjunction with the Infrastructure team.
  • Providing Level 2 / 3 proactive support and monitoring of system performance and utilisation, health, security and capacity.
  • Performing Level 2 / 3 troubleshooting and incident resolution.
  • Providing advanced support and troubleshooting to Active Directory + Supporting Technologies, Exchange, SCCM, SCOM, HyperV, VMWare, Citrix, Storage and Server Hardware.
  • Ensuring all system and data backups are performed successfully across multiple backup environments
  • Proactively developing and maintaining server SOE configurations, ensuring any changes are tested, approved and implemented within change management processes.
  • Maintaining Disaster Recovery procedures.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry certifications (e.g.: MCSE, CCNA, CNA, VCP)
  • ITIL v3.0 foundation - highly desirable
  • 5 years’ commercial IT systems administration experience.
  • Have troubleshooted Active Directory, Exchange 2010, VMware and Citrix issues
  • Demonstrated administration experience within ‘Supported Systems’ in a distributed environment.
  • Actively participate in a team environment with the ability to impart knowledge to others.

Must have a car.
