Global security management solutions organisation is setting up a brand new Sydney CBD office and is looking for Support Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

The Support Engineer will be providing first and second level support to worldwide clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical assistance for customers worldwide and adhere to SLA’s.
  • Overseeing customer system incidents and ensuring these are resolved.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer problems.
  • Establish root cause of problems and come up with ideas and solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers on product issues.
  • File bug reports when necessary and escalate cases to the engineers.

You must have the following skills:

  • Linux experience is mandatory
  • Ideally have understanding of Python scripting.
  • Interest and ideally knowledge in Perl, Shell scripting, Docker, ELK and Hadoop.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Working hours are approximately 40 hours per week over 4 days.
