About the Building Supervisor Role:
The Building Supervisor will price up and co-ordinate trades for housing insurance jobs up to $15k in value. Candidates who have a trade background and want to take a step in their career will be perfect for this role. Great chance to manage your own day, time and work closely with clients.
Duties of the Building Supervisor:
Some of your daily duties will include;
- Manage your portfolio of allocated repairs
- Pro-actively planning your day in advance.
- Communicate with Homeowners, Insurance Clients and Trade Partners
- Ensure all repairs are carried out to high standards
- Estimating, costing and report writing
- Communicate effectively with clients and homeowners
- Ability to create and work to a construction schedule
- Ensure each job is managed within the supplied budget, reporting actual costs against budget
- Ensure Workplace Health and Safety procedures are met
- Establish and maintain contractor and client relationships
Skills and Experience Required:
- Trade background in building, preferably carpentry or trade related
- Insurance Industry experience in some capacity desirable but not essential
- Computer skills with competency in Windows and estimating software is desirable
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
