Randstad is inviting applications from experienced Accountants for a temporary opportunity within State Government.

About the opportunity:

This is a 6 month opportunity to join a stable and supportive team; The Supervisor Cash Operations reports to the Manager Receipting Operations and is responsible for delivery of a contact center and a central Accounts Receivable unit for one or more sites.

Duties will also include working in close liaison with finance, clinical and administrative officers of the department, and with other portfolio statutory authorities.

Role Outline:

  • Ensuring production of timely, accurate and compliant invoicing, claiming, and collection functions and associated reporting, reconciliations and system interfaces;
  • Resolving complex inquiries from patients, clinicians and other third parties regarding patient billing and other sundry revenue issues;
  • Ensuring that billing administration, policy and compliance issues are implemented at the relevant site(s) as required
  • Effective supervision of revenue administration staff involved in the production of invoicing, claiming, collections and associated functions

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven ability to supervise and lead a financial administration function involving a substantial volume of processing work to deliver the desired outcomes
  • Ability to lead decisively, motivate and supervise staff in a constantly changing and complex working environment.
  • Communication skills, both oral and in writing, to enable services to be delivered to a diverse range of clients with varying needs
  • Demonstrated experience in the successful management of revenue and billing administration services.
  • Proven experience in customer service and dealing with complex and confidential issues.
  • Successful record of providing quality services, particularly in a consultative environment.
  • Successful ability to process high volumes of data within specified timeframes.
  • Ability to produce a high quality data entry that keeps to the integrity of SA Health values and compliance
  • Experience in writing effective and readily understandable reports


  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Economics, Business Studies or other relevant disciplines

The successful candidate will be required to hold a current National Police Clearance.
