Key Duties:

Undertake project management duties prior to the acceptance of a tender, during the construction stage and post-construction. These can include but are not limited to:

  • Undertake a site inspection prior to tender close to check that the site is suitable for handing over to the builder
  • Review, in sufficient detail, to provide a good working knowledge thereof, the specifications and drawings relative to the project.
  • Set up and maintain a contract correspondence record file to include:
    • Payment of Claims
    • Extension of time
    • Approval of Subcontractors
    • Contract Claims
    • Requests for information
    • Site Instructions
  • Attend all site meetings and ensure the accurate minutes are kept
  • Provide information and assistance to the Quantity Surveyor to assist in the negotiation of variations and claims
  • Ensure the contractor complies with all clauses, terms and compliance requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Extensive contract administration experience
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification (for example, Building designer, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering or similar) would be highly regarded
  • High-level communication skills

It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
