Job Overview

The State Service Manager is responsible for HVAC Field Operations, across Queensland. You will be based at our Salisbury office and there is a 2 man branch in Townsville. You will ensure:

  • Visitation of Key Accounts at regular intervals and build strong lasting client relationships
  • Motivation of staff and maintenance of team building concepts.
  • 100% Compliance with contracted Preventative Maintenance obligations and repair methods. (Hence ensuring compliance to legislation, Allocated and planned contract hours and Company expectations) ;
  • Workforce planning principles maximising field performance
  • Delivery of revenue, gross margin, overheads and base profit budgets;
  • Drive strategies for growth as outlined by General Manager
  • Delivery of company standards in relation to presentation, productivity and profitability.
  • Effective implementation of strategic requirements as determined by the General Manager.


  • Achieve / exceed revenue, gross margin, overhead and base profit budgets across the service department.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with identified Key Accounts to further increase opportunities.
  • Maintain an environment within your team which values everyone’s input and gains commitment from all stakeholders to achieve.
  • Drive service field standards through audit feedback and through positive reinforcement at ToolBox talks performance appraisals. Deliver customer standards in line with Nationally defined standards.
  • Ensure EHS compliance in line with company policies, assistance with formulation of necessary records also through Technician education and achieving compliance through toolbox talks and appropriate systems.
  • Succession Planning and staff development planning to ensure steady and strategic up skilling occurs to better meet business demands.
  • Develop and implement Growth Strategies including but not confined to Contract growth, Regional development within territory.
  • Establish Overall Service Plan in sync with National Plan however state Based requirements must be reflected.
  • Manage a team of 14 technicians, 3 apprentices and 3 administrators (1 administrator is located in Melbourne).
