Opportunities:

There are 3 different positions available Sydney CBD near Central Station for a Federal Government Agency.

The roles include:

- Community Stakeholder Engagement APS 5 (paying $43 - $48ph + super)

- Strategic Stakeholder Engagement Officer APS 6 with team leader responsibilities (paying $48 - $57ph + super).

The positions are working Mon to Fri (8.30m-4.30pm or 9am-5pm) totalling 37.5hous per week

Likely start end March 2019 (due to the Agencies on-boarding process).

Duties:

  • Supporting the implementation of a targeted engagement strategy aligned to the broader Agency Engagement Strategy in conjunction with Branch and Divisional strategies and business plans.
  • Providing considered advice on events to drive nationally consistent, locally tailored solutions.
  • Promoting, implementing and monitoring community and mainstream engagement activities.
  • Providing critical analysis and feedback to measure effectiveness of activities and strategies.
  • Providing input and feedback into the production of content and messaging.
  • You may be required to represent the Agency in stakeholder interactions and meetings in delivering clear, concise and effective messaging to the community and stakeholders.
  • Supporting local engagement at external forums and public facing events.
  • Maintaining cohesive relationships with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Consulting, sharing information and encouraging diverse views to work collaboratively towards mutually beneficial outcomes to deliver on the objectives of the Branch and the wider Agency.

Criteria:

  • Must be an Australian citizen
  • Must successfully clear a national police check.
  • Must have a contemporary attitude to disability
  • Must have an understanding/knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals.
  • Ideally have experience with supporting people with a disability to maximise participation in community.
  • Must have strong & adaptable communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
