Exciting leadership position in Toowoomba for an experienced Speech Pathologist to work in the Darling Downs region.

Role description

For a group of schools, we are looking for a Senior Advisor Speech Language Pathologist to join a team of 4, providing professional oversight of speech language pathology services and practice across the Darling Downs and South West Queenland.

In this role you will:

  • deliver speech language pathology services to school students and their families
  • lift teacher capacity by designing and developing a range of professional learning resources, to support schools in speech language pathology services and practice
  • provide expert advice on speech language pathology based on contemporary research, systems, school data and through professional relationships with relevant experts and associations
  • identify the speech/language needs of students
  • work collaboratively with school learning support teams to develop appropriate intervention responses which are able to be contextualised within an educational setting


  • tertiary qualification in speech language pathology and a minimum of 5 years experience in the field, including paediatric work
  • hold, or be eligible to hold, registration for Speech Pathology Australia
  • familiarity and competency with assessment and intervention in the area of paediatrics
  • effective relationship building and influencing skills
  • demonstrated experience working with the Microsoft suite of products
  • advanced interpersonal and communication skills
