SPEECH PATHOLOGIST - DARWIN

Your new workplace is a family therapy service that is currently looking for a passionate Speech Pathologist to join a Multi-disclipinary team on a permanent basis in Darwin. Our client delivers services to individuals of all ages. They are a mobile service providing both acute care and rehabilitation in clients homes or support care facilities, at their own centres or any other location as directed by clients. They have extensive experience in acute and progressive neurological disorders including: stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, motor neuron disease, dementia, ASD, Down Syndrome, and many genetic disorders.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Deliver Speech Pathologist services to both adults and children in the NT
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that collaborates and learns from each other
  • Provide consultations to schools, families, case workers, support workers and carers.
  • Actively contribute to the development of professional knowledge and skills in Speech Pathology
  • Improve the quality of services provided to people with a disability who have complex needs

ABOUT YOU:

  • SPA Registration
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Speech Pathology
  • Community Experience working within the NDIS framework (desirable)
  • Versatility to work in a multi-disciplinary team as well as autonomously and remotely
  • Experience or interest working within the disability sector
  • Current Driver's License (essential!)
