A business unit within the NSW Transport cluster is looking for multiple Special Event Bus Support Staff to work across major events in the inner and outer Sydney metropolitan area. You will contribute to the success, safety and delivery of a reliable major event bus network. These positions will require you to work outside core hours including weekends and public holidays.

The successful candidates preferably should have proven bus industry experience; experience in special event bus coordination would be highly regarded. The candidate must display a great attitude, willingness to learn, take initiative and have the ability to work independently and in a team.

The primary purpose of the role is to assist with the delivery of special event bus operations.

We are looking for proactive and hardworking individuals who display effective problem solving and decision making capabilities in highly stressful situations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to event and non-event community
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders/bus operator staff to deliver an efficient Major Event Bus Operation at Sydney Olympic Park.
  • Assist in monitoring bus services and completing required paperwork
  • Count passenger numbers and ensure legibility and accuracy of paperwork
  • Assist with setting up event space and work at direction of supervisors
