Company Overview

An exciting opportunity to join a top four bank in their business banking support team that is paving the way in sales and service in SME banking. This role will see you developing meaningful relationships with SME business owners on a day-to-day basis to help them identify their business goals by offering insights and tailored solutions to the challenges they face. This role will see you utilise your strong rapport building skills, emotional intelligence, and business acumen to offer a superior service to SME business customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact for SME business customers
  • Handle account enquiries, asking open ended questions to truly understand their business goals
  • Offer industry specific insight by understanding the SME market and challenges they may face
  • Build emotional rapport with customers to identify their genuine needs
  • Highlight possible retention risks and offer tailored solutions to manage these risks
  • Update and maintain detailed customer records to ensure a high level of service with every interaction
  • Handle any follow up calls as required
  • Refer qualified business leads to specialist divisions
  • Contribute to business improvement and overall goal of becoming the world’s best business bank

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience across customer service/sales
  • Strong business acumen with an interest in the SME business market and challenges they may face
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong emphasis on providing superior customer service across a range of different stakeholders
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining meaningful business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Desire to develop a long term career in business banking
  • Available to work on a rotating roster Monday - Friday between 8am-8pm
