We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer for a full time position based in Sydney. You will be working as part of a large growing team, with a household name. What You'll Do:

Lead the Charge: Elevate our infrastructure by implementing cutting-edge monitoring, logging, and tracing systems that keep our applications running smoothly.
Innovate with Purpose: Choose and deploy the latest tools and technologies to build scalable, reliable observability solutions that meet the demands of our growing user base.
Collaborate for Success: Partner with diverse engineering teams to integrate best practices in observability and enhance system performance.
Analyse and Improve: Regularly review system performance to identify opportunities for optimisation and proactively address potential issues.
Stay Ahead: Keep up with industry trends to introduce new techniques and tools that boost our infrastructure’s reliability and efficiency.
Strategise and Document: Play a key role in shaping our technology roadmap and create clear documentation for observability processes and systems.

What We’re Looking For:

Tech Savvy: Mastery of tools like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and a solid grasp of data ingestion trade-offs.
Experience Counts: Hands-on with monitoring middleware (e.g., WebSphere/Java/.NET) and integrating with third-party APIs.
Cloud Proficiency: Skilled in AWS/Azure cloud technologies and comfortable with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or JavaScript.
Splunk Expertise: Mandatory experience with Splunk, and familiarity with products like AppDynamics, New Relic, Dynatrace, or Datadog is highly desirable.
Proactive Attitude: Self-starter who thrives both independently and within a team setting.
