job description

Responsibilities and activities involved include

  • On-field Customer Interface
  • Management of spare parts warehouse
  • Planning and Tracking of the periodical maintenance activities
  • Planning and Tracking of the corrective maintenance activities


Maintenance Activities

  • Perform the mechanical, electrical, and electronic installation/removal of main components and
  • subcomponents on any part of the vehicle (under and above);
  • Perform troubleshooting and on-site diagnosis of reported faults;
  • Perform scheduled supplier maintenance (electrical, mechanical, and electronic);
  • Apply software upgrades and gather data via software;
  • Manage and procure spare parts, ensuring a supply of needed tools and spares for the activities to be carried
  • out;

  • Calibration & Tuning
  • Data Analysis
  • Investigation and Problem Solving
  • Technical Advisory
  • Electrical measurements
  • Mechanical measurements
  • Systems operating
  • Software activities
  • OS installation and configuration
  • Network configuration and diagnostic

  • Standard OS maintenance activities
  • Basic use of CAD software


Personal Skills

  • Good communication
  • Autonomy and Decisional capability
  • Strong commitment
  • Available to travel
  • Italian language proficiency;
  • Australian Citizenship or permanent residency status;
  • Australian Drivers License or accepted alternative
  • Experience in railway would be an advantage


Electromechanical installation Skills


• Capable of reading and understanding electrical drawings
• Capable of reading and understanding mechanical drawings
• Use and knowledge of basic tools
• Experience in using various power tools, crimping tools, and basic hand tools;
• Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators;
• Experience in electrical/electronic cabling and soldering;
• Experience with using rail-standard connectors and terminations;
• Experience with piping installations and hydraulic networks;
