A well known retail company is looking for a highly experienced Service Delivery Manager. You will be primarily responsible for managing cost effective service delivery and IT operations to support the businesses operational objectives. A key focus will also be mobilising the right technology and leveraging strategic partners through agreed SLAs to ensure business continuity; providing a service transition advisory to the business in determining the right solution deployment model to adopt.

Your role will see you focusing on:

  • Ensures the progress and the successful delivery of software maintenance releases;
  • Manages Technology operational risk registers;
  • Provides support for application functions requiring regular scheduling and reporting;
  • Ensures support of all core IT systems is provided effectively as per agreed business support timeframes;
  • Manages service performance with 3rd parties through the establishment and management of appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and service-based contracts;
  • Assesses and recommends technology operation improvements to improve efficiencies and to maintain alignment with business needs;
  • Promotes technology awareness and competencies throughout the organisation in an active manner;
  • Manages the support services and execution of service transition deployments and changes to production systems;
  • Maintains effective communications within the team to ensure awareness of business imperatives;
  • Ensures corporate IT policies, procedures and standards are developed and enhanced.
  • Review and identify potential risks within IT operations and develop plans to minimise/mitigate risks.

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in IT, with 5 years managing Technology operations in a Retail environment;
  • Experience with Pronto very desirable or ERP systems is a must
  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment;
  • Strong understanding of business technology strategies to support business operations and continuity is advantageous;
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks
  • Well-developed understanding of IT change management and service operation processes;
  • Proven communication skills that traverses across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Excellent planning and control abilities
  • Self-motivated with a professional approach.
