We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Project Engineer to join a trusted client in the Rail industry. In this role, you will take ownership of complex customer technical requests, applying advanced data analysis, data science techniques, and vibroacoustic expertise to resolve escalations. You will also lead technical discussions with customers, translating their needs into product enhancements and new initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Manage customer technical requests, offering advanced troubleshooting and fault resolution.
- Prepare detailed, customer-facing responses to technical queries.
- Lead discussions to extract user requirements and drive product development.
- Develop, test, and implement new software features for data acquisition, processing, and reporting.
- Improve automated system diagnostics and implement better reporting systems.
- Provide hands-on reviews across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines.
- Define system-level test plans and ensure product compliance with international standards.
- Work closely with the service and support teams to deliver timely customer support.
- Contribute to product roadmaps and integrate new technologies into the portfolio.
- Uphold quality control processes and instill company values like safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills (Mandatory):
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electromechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Expertise in sensor selection, data acquisition, and signal processing.
- Broad multidisciplinary engineering knowledge.
- Proven experience in system-level design and integration.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in the rail industry and customer-facing roles.
- Familiarity with electromechanical and software systems.
Essential Traits:
- Strong communication skills (written and oral).
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows.
Bonus Skills (Desirable but not required):
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Altium CAD packages.
