Randstad is on the lookout for an IT Senior Infrastructure Administrator to be responsible for providing technical support for day to day operations of the government department through the provision of technical support and advice to users across multiple locations, platforms and technologies.

Randstad is on the lookout for an IT Senior Infrastructure Administrator to be responsible for providing technical support for day to day operations of the government department through the provision of technical support and advice to users across multiple locations, platforms and technologies.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Provide high level of technical and operations administration on ICT Infrastructure, with demonstrated leadership skills to team and customers on products, systems and configuration.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skill and must have the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical support.
  • Demonstrated experience monitor, analyse and report on ICT Infrastructure systems/performance.
  • Contribute to building capability within the ICT technical stream ensuring effective knowledge sharing and coaching.
  • Proactively identify business risks and opportunities to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage the consistent use of agreed tools and methods to address and resolve user identified problems in line with service level agreements
  • Define and monitor compliance with processes for the set-up and installation of hardware, software, applications, peripherals and other ICT-based systems to agreed service levels
  • Escalate performance issues with internal and/or external providers to minimise adverse impact of systems availability on business continuity

The key skills and attributes are:

  • Demonstrated expertise managing and resolving technical problems with various operating systems such as Microsoft Servers 2003 to 2012 R2, UNIX/Linux and Novell.
  • Must have extensive experience dealing with Incidents and Service Requests and ensure they are resolved within the agreed SLA’s.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining and monitoring a large IT infrastructure on a regular basis.
  • Experience dealing with external vendors/providers to ensure SLA’s is being met.
  • Must have high level of verbal & written skills.
  • A good working knowledge of email solutions such as Office 365 and Domino.
  • Bonus but not essential - Experience with various cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure and experience to transition into Operational team for on-going administrative and operational tasks.
  • Bonus but not essential - Demonstrated experience with Identity Management such as OKTA, FIM, and IDM.
