TEAM LEADER/SENIOR SPEECH PATHOLOGIST - DARWIN

Randstad Healthcare and Support are currently looking for a passionate Senior Speech Pathologist to join a Multi-disclipinary team on a permanent basis in Darwin. Our client delivers services to individuals of all ages. They are a mobile service providing both acute care and rehabilitation in clients homes or support care facilities, at their own centres or any other location as directed by clients. They have extensive experience in acute and progressive neurological disorders including: stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, motor neuron disease, dementia, ASD, Down Syndrome, and many genetic disorders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide supervision, mentoring and professional support to junior Speech Pathologists
  • Deliver Speech Pathologist services to both adults and children in the NT
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that collaborates and learns from each other
  • Monitor quality of work to ensure leadership in the provision of therapeutic services across the Northern Territory
  • Provide consultations to schools, families, case workers, support workers and carers.
  • Actively contribute to the development of professional knowledge and skills in Speech Pathology
  • Improve the quality of services provided to people with a disability who have complex needs
  • Think strategically with regard to the development of systems and manage partnerships with other services.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • SPA Registration
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Speech Pathology
  • Community Experience working within the NDIS framework (desirable)
  • Versatility to work in a multi-disciplinary team as well as autonomously and remotely
  • Experience or interest working within the disability sector
  • Current Driver's License (essential!)
